Home > Community Sports - About the Camden Active All Areas

January 2015 saw the arrival of a new initiative - Camden Active All Areas- which aims to generate an increase in sports participation in four areas that have had traditionally low sporting participation rates - Gospel Oak, Somers Town, Regents Park and thanks to Public Health funding - Kilburn and West Hampstead.

In each of these areas we aim to get 1,000 residents active over three years, a huge but exciting challenge made possible by funding through Sport England, Public Health, Camden council and England Athletics.  Part of the project uniqueness lies in its management - which is made up of a strong partnership of community organisations who will each manage a programme of delivery for their local area.

The lead community partners are:   Somers Town Community Association, West Euston Time Bank, Queen’s Crescent Community Association and Sidings Community Centre.

The Community Sports Activator for West Euston Time Bank (WETB) is Andy Gilbert. Andy can be contacted on andrew.gilbert@camden.gov.uk or at WETB on 020 7383 4382.
